  • A change...

I am really thinking about changing to blogspot because it is so frustrating to edit the look of my page with their new theme thing. Anyways, finally up and running in my apartment with cable and internet. It feels great to be in communicado with all of you again!

    Tv time though.

  • Home for the holiday

So I am home for a three day weekend to celebrate Columbus Day. I love government holidays. I feel like I am in elementary again. They always give you a day off every month or so.
So since the last day I updated what has happened?

I spent a month in Nashville:
    -100+ degree weather and humid
-a small ant problem in my hotel room
-made new friends and a mental list of 4 people to avoid in the group
-made many phonecalls to get health insurance set up and was unsuccessful
-enjoyed per diem living and tried lots of new food
-and there was an unsuccessful attempt to gain my romantic affections (see picture on Travel required photo album via Facebook)_
-celebrated my birthday more times than I can count and it was wonderful. See pictures on facebook

I spent a month in Cincinnati:
-still not much relief fromt he heat
-caught up with friend Perryanne and had a great weekend
-to my dissapointment great weekend was not repeated
-built a dresser (I seem to choose assemble yourself furniture and the directions are never easy to understand)
-visited Krohn's and the Cincy zoo on very hot days
-rode the bus to work everyday and enjoyed it (minus one day when we caught a later bus which was also being ridden by Cincy's strangest )
-ate at Buca's 2x which was very delicious
-went to Dayton to see Katie and Amanda. We visited carillon park and I saw Orville's perfect toast slicer. I think we would be soulmates if he was my age today.
-saw chalk painting in Clifton. Was very cool; pictures on facebook also
-Discovered resteraunt BRIO and I love their Italian food.

I spent this weekend at home:
-went to doctor on Friday and it was a great experience. Usually I go to the doctor and feel like they rushed me out of there, but he had a perfect bedside manor. I only wish he was in Columbus not 2 hours away in Cincy. Hopefully medicine he gave me improves appetite and crazy stomach problems
-went to Bead Retreat party with Sheila. Made adorable bracelet and spent more money. had so much fun doing it.
-Went to cedar point with Krystle and Josh. Good time with friends; poor time in haunted houses. Not scary due to understaffing of scary persons. Dissapointing and I went home without my coveted dipp 'n dots.
-Bacon and eggs this morning with my father. Fresh tomatoes with S & P  Completely satisfied
-Leaving soon to go to movies with Dad. I told him I wanted to spend day together because I have been on the move so much lately, I only ever see him and Jane at the same time. Actually him and I haven't spent a day together since I went to college coz he sleeps and I usually make plans for every minute when I come home.
-tommorow I will go shopping at Kohl's; they sent me a 30% off coupon. Will also drive to Dayton.
    - on Tuesday Amanda's dad is taking me to the airport for my first airplane ride to Nashville. I am uber excited to be flying!

hope you feel updated on my life now

  • on the road again

You haven't heard from me in awhile... and I am just posting to tell you that the situation won't be any different till after Thanksgiving. As most of you know, I got a job with the government and they have me traveling/training for the  first four months. I have been staying in hotels and they have internet, but the xanga website is blocked. Its unfortunate, because so many times I have actually felt like blogging and I can't. I want to let people know what I'm learning.. what I'm dealing with.. what I'm struggling with. Right now I don't even have time to share it all with you. Hopefully, I will come across an unblocked internet connection soon to do a real update.

    Good night, sleep tight readers

  • The highlight of my summer

The other day I was at grocery store and I saw that Vanilla Coke is back! That moment was the highlight of my summer... well maybe in my top 10. To my xanga fans, I raise my Vanilla Coke can to you and say "Cheers and enjoy the rest of the summer"
